Submission to The Writers anthology.
The theme this year is: The Lost Year
Members may submit five pieces of work, poetry or short story.
Please do not submit any piece of work which you may want to send elsewhere. Some competitions request that the work hasn’t been published anywhere else. This is an opportunity to showcase work that you may otherwise find difficult to place. The aim of the anthology is to see your work in print and to provide a souvenir of your time in the group.
We do accept some copyright free images or drawings if it is relevant to the work, and it doesn’t bump up the price of printing.
Last Date of Submission: 1st August 2021
We hope to have the anthology ready by November.
Email your work, this year, to Lynne Stone.
When emailing your work, please remember to put your NAME on the piece of work!
Submission in the subject section of the email.
Word documents –(please, please, please no weird attachments that I can’t open!)
It is impossible to tell you how much the anthology will cost until it is uploaded to Lulu – the last anthology cost around £5.50)
YOUR WORK WILL BE EDITED FOR TYPOS – PLEASE REMEMBER YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING YOUR OWN WORK AS GOOD AS YOU CAN GET IT! I’m not a good line editor.
“Please use double speech marks!”
No footers or headers or page numbers.
Submit work in Times Roman 11pt, double line spaced.
